Q & A – PT & POLICE RECRUITS
Q: WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF YOUR PERSONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS?
A: Increased energy in the 1st week of training, personalized proven systems, better nights sleep, improved self-esteem, increased strength and confidence. We are here to help you break your self sabotaging habits and create a lasting, positive change in your life.
Q: HAVE YOU GOT ANY VEGETARIAN RECIPES?
A: Yes. Here check out our blog for great recipes.
Q: WHEN TO EAT?
A: To ensure you have the most energy for your training session you will need to eat a main meal 3 to 4 hours before the session or a lighter meal 1 to 1.5 hours out from your session. This will ensure your energy levels are high.
Q: WHEN TO TRAIN?
A: Training at the right time of the day for you will ensure your training session is 100%. The challenge is everyone is different. The best rule here is to train at the time that you enjoy the most and that suits your lifestyle.
Q: SHOULD I EAT PROTEIN TO AVOID PAIN?
A: After a weights/strength training session, it’s important to have a protein source within 30 minutes to 1 hr of your session. This will help your recovery. Without enough protein, you will find yourself getting very sore after your training sessions. Protein helps repair and grow our muscles so the muscle can eat the fat.
Q: SHOULD I HAVE A GOAL?
A: YES! Always remember what you are training for. There will be those days where you start thinking of excuses to not train. On those days, keep your goal at the front of your mind to motivate you and you’ll find it much easier to get to the gym or to go for that run. In our programs we help you set your goals and achieve them in a realistic time frame.
Q: WHY SHOULD I BUY FROM STAY STRONG PT?

POLICE RECRUIT QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q: HOW DO I JOIN THE POLICE?
A: Go to your states official website and type in recruits. If you are from Queensland here is the link. Police Jobs Queensland.
Q: WHAT LEVEL OF FITNESS DO I NEED TO BE A POLICE RECRUIT?
A: To meet the essential physical activities of operational policing, you need to demonstrate a reasonable degree of aerobic fitness to perform duties involving periods of intense and strenuous physical exertion. Therefore you are required to pass a Beep Test to demonstrate you have a reasonable degree of aerobic fitness to successfully complete the physical training associated with recruit training. This is quoted from the Queensland police website.
Q: How long does it take to get into the QPS once you have submitted your expression of interest?
A: Some of our recruits have taken 3 months, some 6 months and some as long as 2 years. Be prepared for a fast process and also be very prepared for a slow one. Stay focused on your goal and you will be great.

Q: What are some good tips for the entrance exam?
A: Don’t spend too much time on one question, everyone is different, take your time and stay relaxed and calm. Be confident and you will smash it.
Practice watching short videos (2-4 minutes) of interviews or news stories and write notes of these, followed by writing a short summary. Once finished, go through the video again to determine what you missed. Practice writing with a pencil in a short time period to simulate testing conditions.
The length of time that you are in integrity depends on your individual case. You can be in integrity from 2 weeks, up to several months.
Q: Do you know much about the psych exam?
A: Be honest with your responses and stay true to your word.
Q: What are some good tips for the panel interview?
A: All of the info you need is in the key selection criteria on the QPS recruiting website. If you can provide examples of how you meet each of the criteria you will do fine. Dress for a job interview, be professional and smile.
Q: Do you know the approximate order of the APSAD?
A: We have asked and surveyed past and present recruits and this is their feedback, it does vary slightly depending on the day. If you have your fitness sorted then you will be fine no matter what order. Be confident.
